Yes, you got it! This site is all about Tribbles. Not the tribbles in the Star Trek Series' but the tribbles in the Star Trek game. 2010 was the birth of a new MMO game. You may have heard of it? Star Trek Online. It hit a genre that has yet to have been hit. And boy did we hit it. They had a closed beta, an open beta and prior to full release there was a headstart option for those that pre-ordered. And each time the servers were feeling the strain. But that's neither here nor there. This site is not about the game as such but about these wonderful creatures. It wasn't long before it was found that like their TV star relatives they breed. Place a tribble in your inventory with some food and within an hour it will be gone and in it's place a new tribble. But it doesn't stop there. There are several variety of tribbles and they have abilities that help you so they are not just food eating pet fiends. One of the links on the left is a forum thread specifically used to discuss breeding tactics and records for those interested. We even have our own channel to chat in game with. Several of us are keeping our own records, whilst others are keeping an overall record with graphical charts helping to discover patterns in breeding to help predict the next new species. On the right you will see images of the various Tribbles out there. I will add detail to them at a later time. I personally don't have all of them so bear with me. One of the links on the left will lead to my own tribble breeding pens. I am striving to get at least one of each tribble available. Apart from the special bonus one of Rivera which is untradeable and only available to certain players. |
